Choosing a trigger sprayer: output, nozzle and chemical resistance

Output

Trigger sprayers deliver a larger dose than mist sprayers, often around one milliliter per stroke. Confirm the output of each model with your supplier.

Nozzle settings

Many nozzles turn between spray, stream and off. Foaming nozzles create foam for cleaners. The off position also helps prevent leaks in transit.

Chemical resistance

Strong acids, alkalis, solvents and bleach can attack some seals and springs. Tell your supplier what the formula contains and test the trigger with it.

Neck and dip tube

Triggers commonly fit 28/400 and 28/410 necks. The dip tube is cut to the bottle height so the sprayer can empty the bottle.
